The 2022 Malaysian football season is slated to kick off next month, and as is customary, Selangor FC will first introduce its Red Giants Team Card for the year. However, changes have been made to our Team Card this year, to better reward our fans who have shown their support not only in the terraces, but also financially by purchasing the products through the Red Giants Official Store.

As in the previous seasons, the card offers multiple benefits to its holders such as discounts from over 20 official RGTC 2022 partners and a 10 per cent discount on selected items at the Red Giants Official Store. But on top of the discounts, two more benefits have been introduced with this year's Red Giants Team Card; referral cashback and loyalty points.

Each new Team Card referral will net the referrer RM5 in cash, while every purchase from official RGTC 2022 partners and Red Giants Official Store will be awarded with redeemable reward points.

Under the Referral initiative, every fan who registers for the Red Giants Team Card 2022 will receive a referral link that they can share with new Team Card subscribers.

Meanwhile under the Reward Points scheme, every RM1 spent at the physical or online Selangor FC store will come with one reward point, and the accumulated points can later be redeemed for official Red Giants products. Meanwhile, 10 free Reward Points can be obtained by scanning the QR code available at the premises of Red Giants Team Card 2022 official partners.

Selangor FC Chairman and the Raja Muda of Selangor, HRH Tengku Amir Shah ibni Sultan Sharafuddin explains the rationale behind the new Red Giants Team Card benefits.

"As the new season beckons, it is important for the relationships and trust built over the years by the club be further strengthened and rewarded. It is my hope that this season's Red Giants Team Card will ensure that every new Team Card subscription and Official Store purchase benefits not just the club, but our most important stakeholders as well; the loyal Red Giants fans.

"The motif of Red & Yellow is once again front and centre, for the Red Giants Team Card 2022. Regardless of who we are and where we come from, Red & Yellow is a message that is ingrained in all of us, it is a message that unites us all, on the ground of love and pride for Selangor FC. It represents courage, sovereignty, honour, loyalty, success, togetherness through ups and downs, and the pride that we believe in.

A new registration costs RM25, while last year's Team Card holder can renew their membership for only RM20. Both will receive a new Red Giants Team Card 2022, and a referral link that they can share with others under the Referral programme.
